Smith Allen Insurance is a leading independent insurance agency that specializes in providing preferred personal insurance to clients in the DFW area.  The typical client has multiple personal insurance policies - homeowners, personal auto and perhaps umbrella and other policies.  Smith Allen provides insurance products from a select group of preferred insurance carriers - Travelers, Allstate, Hippo, Progressive, Safeco, Hartford, State Auto, Kemper, Chubb, and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with client remarkets to shop their renewals to ensure they are in the most competitive options.  Be able to provide accurate and concise advice to clients.

  • Develop expert knowledge of personal P&C insurance, and the various carriers that Smith Allen represents.

  • Effectively communicate with prospects and clients while they are going through the home-buying process.

  • Follow up with past clients and leads to provide updated quotes.

  • Build and maintain strong networking relationships with Mortgage Loan Officers, Realtors, and other local professionals.

  • Effectively and continuously network-Attending breakfasts, lunches, happy hours, and scheduling one-on-one meetings with potential business partners.  A typical week may entail multiple Networking Events, one-on-ones, and “Drops” into Mortgage and Realtor offices. 

  • Regularly visit Mortgage and Realtor offices to prospect and see current partners.

  • Effectively communicate with Mortgage Loan Officers and Realtors to show a full understanding of their client process, goals, and “pain points.”

  • Track and update critical activities including Mortgage Lender & Realtor Prospects and networking events/opportunities.
